Our commitment
LE MELANGE, LLC is committed to making sanddhandbag.shop usable by as many people as possible, regardless of how they browse. Accessibility is treated as part of the build rather than a later audit.
Standard we apply
We hold this site to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1, Level AA. We consider the site to be substantially conformant, with the exceptions noted below.
What we have done
- Contrast. Body text sits at 13.7:1 against the page, and the primary button at 8.2:1 — comfortably above the 4.5:1 minimum, and above 7:1 for the main action. Disabled buttons remain legible rather than fading into the background.
- Keyboard. Every control, including the cart panel, the planner steps and the product gallery, is reachable and operable by keyboard. A visible focus ring follows the keyboard, and a skip link jumps straight to the main content.
- Structure. One h1 per page, headings in order, landmarks for header, navigation, main and footer, and lists marked up as lists so a screen reader announces their length.
- Forms. Every field has a visible label tied to its input, errors are announced in text next to the field rather than by colour alone, and the checkout button explains why it is disabled.
- Images. Product photography carries descriptive alternative text; decorative images carry an empty alt attribute so they are skipped.
- Motion. Fades and the counting animation respect
prefers-reduced-motion. The hero video is muted, loops without sound, and carries no flashing content. - Zoom and reflow. The layout reflows to a single column at 320 pixels wide and at 200% zoom without horizontal scrolling or clipped text.
- Without JavaScript. All catalogue, product and policy content renders on the server, so it remains readable if scripting is unavailable. Cart and planner functions need scripting.
Known limitations
- The hero video plays automatically. It is silent and short, but if your operating system requests reduced motion we do not currently pause it — we plan to add that.
- The compartment tables on product pages scroll sideways on very narrow screens. The same figures are repeated in text above the table.
- The capacity bars in the Fit Planner use colour and a numeric label together; the numbers are the authoritative version.
How we test
We test with keyboard-only navigation, with VoiceOver on macOS, at 200% browser zoom, at a 320 pixel viewport, and with automated contrast and structure checks on every page before release. This statement was prepared on August 13, 2026 following a review of the whole site.
Tell us about a barrier
If something here stops you buying, or is simply harder than it should be, email support@sanddhandbag.shop with “accessibility” in the subject line, or call +1 555 805 4322 during Monday to Friday, 9:00–17:00 Eastern Time. Tell us the page and what happened. We aim to reply within two business days and to fix confirmed barriers in the next release.
If you would rather order by phone than fight with the site, call us and we will take the order that way. That option stands permanently, not as a workaround.
